Job Title: Business analyst
Job Type: Permanent role
Work Location: Sant Cugat, Barcelona, Spain (Hybrid- 2 days in a week)

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to support and enhance an Excel-based tool by integrating it with Databricks, improving data views, and making it scalable for broader business use. This role requires a strong foundation in data analysis, reporting, and process automation, with an emphasis on optimizing workflows and delivering actionable insights through reports and summaries.

Technical Skills:
Maintain and enhance an Excel-based tool, ensuring seamless integration with Databricks to automate data updates and improve efficiency.
Improve data views and dashboards, making them more intuitive, insightful, and scalable for various stakeholders.
Work on scalability solutions to expand the tools functionality and adaptability across teams.
Develop and automate reports and summaries, translating complex data into actionable insights for decision-making.
Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, business teams, and stakeholders to ensure the tool meets business needs and evolves with changing requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
Provide documentation, training, and support to ensure end-users can effectively use the tool and reports.

Required Qualifications:
Expert-level proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros, and VBA
Expert-level proficiency in SQL for querying, data transformation, and analysis
Strong experience with Databricks and other SQL-based platforms for large-scale data processing and analytics
2+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or a similar analytical role
Proven track record of automating processes and improving data pipelines to drive efficiency and scalability
Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Proficiency in Tableau for data visualization and dashboard development

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Python, SQL, or Spark for data manipulation and automation.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Familiarity with API integrations and data governance best practices.

Behavioral Skills:
Very good communication skills
Should be very interactive and top on deliverables being working from client environment.
Ready to learn new tools and technology in related area.
Certifications Needed:
Bachelor s degree in computer science
